AFA Sailors DC (Development Centre) is a partnership between LCS Football Academy and ActiveSG Football Academy, leveraging the strengths of each organisation to create a disciplined and professional sporting environment in support of the national football project “Unleash the Roar!”
AFA has a wide reach with a very accessible football programme for the larger community, and the largest base of Singaporean youth footballers. AFA satellite Development Centres are created around different regions to provide equal training and playing opportunities for all. AFA’s core values are Honour, Resilience and Teamwork with the aim of developing a well-rounded athlete. LCSFA is accredited as an Elite Youth Academy by the Asian Football Confederation, and we are making significant investments in athlete pipeline development.
With our combined efforts, the AFA Sailors DC programme will provide youth footballers with sustained and structured high-quality football training at Mattar, slated to become Singapore's first fully-integrated football training centre in 2022. AFA and LCSFA will adopt the same philosophy towards the development of youth, encompassing both on-field training and character building off the field through the right values and culture.
DC teams are the 2nd team in the overall academy structure, after the Elite teams.
